The Enriching Journey of NGSE, RID 3131 RY 23-24 by Rtn. Dr. Shilpaguari Ganpule Back

The New Generations Service Exchange of Rotary District 3131 represents a vibrant and dynamic initiative to foster international understanding, cultural exchange and professional development among young adults. This program is tailored for individuals aged 18 to 30, providing unique opportunities to engage in meaningful service projects, internships and cultural exchanges. By participating in these initiatives, young leaders gain invaluable experiences that enhance their professional and personal growth, while also contributing positively to communities around the world.

With its commitment to nurturing global citizenship, the New Generations Service Exchange Programme encourages participants to step out of their comfort zones, immerse themselves in new environments and work collaboratively with people from diverse backgrounds. This not only broadens their perspectives but also helps them develop critical skills such as cross-cultural communication, problem-solving and adaptability. The experiences fostered through this exchange often leave lasting impressions, inspiring participants to become more engaged and responsible global citizens.

The NGSE Team of RID 3131, India set a new benchmark in Rotary Year 2023- 24. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the relentless hard work, dedication and innovative spirit that each team member embodies. The collective effort and synergy within the team have propelled us to reach unprecedented heights, demonstrating what can be accomplished when passion and expertise come together.

The journey to this milestone was not without its challenges. Each obstacle encountered along the way served as a learning experience, pushing us to refine our strategies and elevate our performance. Through late nights, rigorous testing and countless brainstorming sessions, the team’s resilience and commitment shone through. These efforts culminated in breaking all prior records, proving that with determination and collaboration, no goal is too ambitious.

Looking forward, this achievement serves as both a proud moment and a stepping stone for future endeavours. It has not only raised the bar for what the NGSE Team can achieve but also inspired us to continue striving for excellence. As we celebrate this significant milestone, we remain motivated to push boundaries and set even higher standards in our continuous pursuit of innovation and success.

The NGSE (Next Generation School Exchange) program has been instrumental in accelerating the professional growth of both inbounds and outbounds, providing a platform for cultural exchange, academic advancement and personal development. Among the notable success stories are those of Larissa Santos Silva and Herode Metellus, who participated as inbounds and Shreyas Lanke, Samruddha Uchil, Vaidehi Joshi, Aamir Nagaria, Kshitij Bhosale, Sameer Ganpule, Archana Dalvi and Bhoomi Singhania, who represented the outbounds.

Larissa Santos Silva, hailing from Brazil, leveraged her NGSE experience to gain a deeper understanding of English literature and honed her teaching skills. This exposure has significantly bolstered her professional profile, enabling her to secure a coveted position in the reputed school where she is now promoted as Assistant Coordinator. Similarly, Herode Metellus from Haiti used his time in the NGSE program to excel in the financial sector and expand his professional network. This experience has catapulted him into a promising career in finance with his admission to the world’s best university in the U.S.A.

On the outbound front, Shreyas Lanke and Samruddha Uchil have both seen remarkable advancements in their careers post-NGSE. Shreyas, an aspiring entrepreneur, utilized the skills and insights gained during his NGSE Virtual exchange to Calgary, Canada, RID to get placed in the same company and now shifted to Calgary with a fully sponsored Service VISA. Samruddha, on the other hand, has advanced in the engineering field, applying the best practices and innovative techniques he learned through his NGSE Group Exchange with Dubai, UAE, RID 4250 in AI, Data and Cloud and got admission to a reputed university in the USA. Aamir Nagaria is revisiting Brazil in December, 2024.

Kshitij Bhosale, Aamir Nagaria, Vaidehi Joshi, Sameer Ganpule, Archana Dalvi and Bhoomi Singhania have also experienced significant professional growth, often attributing their success to the global perspective and diverse skill set they developed through the NGSE program. Vaidehi took over the leadership role of President of the Rotaract Club of Ramkrishna More College. Sameer is excelling in the finance sector, Archana is making strides in digital content writing and got a job opportunity from Yestech Solutions, Philippines. Bhoomi is a rising star in the field of AI, Data and Cloud by getting the post-internship in the DataTech Labs, Pune.

Overall, the NGSE program has proven to be a powerful catalyst for professional development, equipping participants with the knowledge, skills and global perspective needed to thrive in their respective careers.
