On 23rd February, the Rotary Club marked its 119th anniversary with celebrations. In honor of this milestone, the Rotary Club of Poona Airport, together with its members, Ann’s, Annets, Interact Club and students from St. Andrews Girls School, organized a sports day. The event was filled with joy as the girls and the Ann’s and Annets engaged in games such as lemon in spoon, sack race, three-legged race, tug of war and musical chairs, sports, competitions, love, laughter and above all sharing knowledge of Rotary Club with the students.
The students enthusiastically conveyed to their Headmaster that it was the best program they had ever experienced. What made the day extraordinary for everyone present was the warmth, love and care extended by the Ann’s, Annets and Club Members. Annet, Aanchal Sapra crafted chocolate medals adorned with stickers featuring the logo of the Rotary Club of Poona Airport, distributing them to all the winners. The members and Ann’s proudly donned their Rotary caps, creating a sense of unity and pride. The occasion concluded on a high note, with all participants receiving snacks and soft drinks as a gesture of appreciation. It was a proud and memorable moment for everyone involved in the celebration. The total cost of the project was Rs. 25,000/- with 150 beneficiaries. A special thank goes out to our club’s Youth Director Naresh Paul for spearheading this initiative.
