  1. Peace Avenue: Atharvashirsha Pathan at Bhausaheb Rangari Ganesh Mandir, Pune

 On 1st July 2024, RC Chinchwad-Pune, RID 3131, marked the commencement of the Rotary Year 2024-25 with a significant and auspicious event. The morning began at 7:30 a.m. at Shrimant Bhau Rangari Ganpati, where members gathered for a heartfelt Aarati and Atharvashirsha Pathan. This spiritually enriching ceremony set a positive tone for the year ahead, emphasizing our focus on the Peace Building and Conflict Prevention Avenue. The enthusiastic participation of our members created a warm and inspiring atmosphere. The event not only celebrated the new Rotary year but also fostered a sense of unity and spiritual fellowship. It was a memorable start to what promises to be a meaningful year of service and growth.

 

  1. Public Image Enhancement through the Wari Project

 The Rotary Club Chinchwad proudly marked 18 years of steadfast commitment to the WARI project, with a memorable journey to Theur Phata to join Wari Dindi No. 56. This event, held on 3rd July, 2024, offered our members a profound spiritual experience and deepened our appreciation of the Warkari tradition. Participating in the Dindi provided invaluable insights, enhancing our cultural understanding and fostering spiritual growth. The day underscored the Club’s ongoing dedication to this impactful community development project. This engagement also significantly contributed to the public image of Rotary, while financial aid was provided to support the Warkaries. The Club eagerly anticipates continuing its support for this meaningful initiative in the years to come.

 

  1. Vocational Award Presentation on Doctors Day to Dr Govind Jawade and Dr Kailash Jawade

On Doctors Day, the Rotary Club Chinchwad-Pune proudly honoured Dr. Govind Jawade and Dr. Kailash Jawade with the Vocational Excellence Award. This accolade recognized their decades-long dedication to AIDS prevention and organ donation, embodying the spirit of the day. Their significant contributions have not only saved lives but also empowered communities and inspired new generations to engage in health advocacy. The award ceremony highlighted their exceptional service and unwavering commitment to improving public health. As we celebrated Doctors Day, Rotary Club Chincwad-Pune saluted these remarkable individuals for their perseverance and profound impact on countless lives.

 

  1. Visit to Ishwarpuram and Donation of Books and Bedsheets

Members of Rotary Club Chinchwad-Pune visited Ishwarpuram, an NGO focused on education and community development for students from North East India on 3rd July, 2024. The visit offered valuable insights into the challenges faced by these students and highlighted the impactful work being done by the organization. The members were inspired by the NGO's dedication and look forward to forging a meaningful partnership to create a sustainable impact and empower the students of Ishwarpuram. During the visit, Books were donated to the students and Ann Pratibha Pophale and Ann Priyadarshini Khanolkar generously donated bedsheets to support the students' needs. The experience strengthened the commitment of the Rotary Club of Chinchwad-Pune to contribute positively to their educational journey.

 

  1. Annet IPP Rtr Vaidehi Joshi’s Rotary Youth Exchange with Rotaract District 2223, Russia

IPDRR Rtr Siddhesh Gaikwad and Annet IPP Rtr Vaidehi Joshi were honoured to be invited to the Rotaract District 2223 Conference held in Russia from July 18 to 21, 2024, at Guest House "Ostrov" in the Chelyabinsk Region. They were hosted from July 14 to 22, 2024, and had the unique opportunity to explore Siberia during their stay. Their participation included engaging in the flag exchange with the Rotary clubs of Novosibirsk Central and Novosibirsk. The airfare, accommodation, and travel expenses were generously sponsored by Rotary District 2223, Russia. This prestigious invitation highlighted their dedication to Rotaract and marked a proud moment for the Rotaract Club of Ramkrishna More College, and the Rotary Club of Chinchwad Pune. Congratulations to both Rtr Siddhesh and Rtr Vaidehi!

  1. The Rotary Chatra Chhaya Project

The Rotary Chhatra Chhaya Project, initiated by Rotary Chinchwad, successfully provided essential shelter to street vendors by distributing 40 umbrellas. These umbrellas were designed to protect vendors from harsh sunlight and adverse weather conditions, significantly enhancing their working environment and overall well-being. This initiative exemplified Rotary’s core principle of service above self and highlighted effective community engagement. The project not only demonstrated responsible citizenship and fostered .
Collaborative partnerships but also significantly enhanced Rotary's public image. By contributing to a more equitable and compassionate society, the Chhatra Chhaya Project made a meaningful impact on the daily lives of those who serve the community.
