Eco-Friendly Ganesh Idol making Workshop – 8th year of Excellence by Rotary Club of Kharghar Midtown

Creating eco-friendly Ganesha idols using Shadu clay is a meaningful step towards preserving the environment. Shadu clay is a natural, biodegradable material that dissolves easily in water, unlike Plaster of Paris (PoP), which can cause long-lasting pollution in water bodies. By using Shadu clay, you support traditional craftsmanship and reduce the toxic impact on marine life. Additionally, you can decorate these idols with natural colors and organic materials, ensuring that the entire process of worship remains sustainable and respectful to nature. This way, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi becomes a celebration of both devotion and environmental responsibility.

RCKM’s Signature project of conducting this Eco-Friendly Ganesha Idol making workshop since 2017 by its  Rotary Partner Shital Waray, since then this is 8th year and club successfully conducted both online and offline sessions at 6 different locations (Societies and Colleges) and beneficiaries are rosed to 500+ this year.
