Rotary Club of Kharghar Midtown completed a project on Cervical Cancer Vaccination during the current year, successfully funded by member-sponsored contributions. The project garnered significant interest and participation from members, who showed great zeal and enthusiasm.
To make this initiative bigger and bolder, we decided to scale it up and conceptualized a fundraiser program aiming to raise funds to vaccinate 300 girls from underprivileged backgrounds.
We selected the Udaan Foundation Group, a team of specially-abled performers, based on our previous experience and with the aim of contributing to another noble cause. To add a sprinkle of humor, we also invited stand-up comedian Mr. Suraj Tripathi to tickle the audience’s funny bones.
Team Kharghar did a wonderful job selling tickets and securing sponsorships for the event in a timely manner. We received two major sponsorships: M/s. Theme Logistics & Management Pvt Ltd, which sponsored vaccinations for 100 girls and M/s. HDFC Credila, which sponsored vaccinations for 80 girls.
In addition to these sponsors, we reached out to many more kind-hearted donors and with their generous support, we were able to raise funds well beyond our goal. Heartfelt gratitude goes to all the beautiful souls who wholeheartedly contributed.
The entire event was graced by the presence of our own PDG Rtn. Pankaj Shah, who praised the club members for their dedication and hard work towards the noble cause. During the event, our generous donors were recognized and felicitated by Rtn. PDG Pankaj Shah.
As always, the Udaan Foundation team delivered a spectacular show and the audience was truly mesmerized by their performance. Many songs received standing ovations. The audience was speechless watching the dance performance of Ms. Manisha, a girl with one leg and the performance of the Malkham team. People also enjoyed the comic timing of stand-up comedian Mr. Suraj Tripathi, who was appreciated for his wit and humor.
The event started with an address by Club President Rtn. Anup Gupta and successfully concluded with a vote of thanks by Project Chairman PE Rtn. Shailesh Patel.
