Rotary makes a difference
In Rotary Year 2023-24 RC Pune Sports City provided merit cum means scholarship to girl students of Modern College. A total amount of Rs 2,00,000 was distributed among these girls.14 girls were selected pursuing their graduation. One of these girls was doing post graduation and she is visually impacted.The project was initiated by Rtn. Brij Sethi who organised funds too.The condition was they need to score 60% and more in the final exams. In the recent final exams all of them have scored 67% to 83% marks.
Addressing medical needs of Warkaris
Rotary Club of Pune Sport City under the Presidentship of Rtn. Sadhana Joshi is delighted to share the success of their recent medical project supporting the Warkaris during their yatra to the holy place of Pandharpur. Club’s team driven by Dr. Sapatnekar and his dedicated team of 8-10 doctors organised medical camps on the route to this Yatra during July 24. Team provided consultations and distributed Rs 6,94,000 medicines to the Warkaris who were undergoing this long tedious painful walk. Approximately 15,000 Warkaris benefited from this initiative. Medicines for dehydration, body aches, fever, infections, and general ailments were provided, sourced from reputable MNC Pharma companies.
