Report on "Happy School Project" at Anganwadi, Rajewadi

Project Overview:  Date of Event – 28^th December 2024 . Location : Anganwadi School Rajewadi , Taluka Maval, Pune

The "Happy School Project" at Rajewadi Anganwadi School was successfully executed on the 26th and 27th of December 2024. In collaboration with local authorities, a team comprising six students from the Interact Club of DICs English Medium School and two members from the RCC of Vidya Seva worked together to enhance the school environment and provide valuable resources to the children.

Key Activities:

1. The Speaking Walls:
• On the 26th and 27th of December, the volunteers painted the walls of the Anganwadi School with vibrant and educational pictures. This initiative, known as "The Speaking Walls," aimed to make the children's learning environment more engaging and colourful.
• The paintings included various educational materials such as alphabets, numbers, shapes, and other learning tools designed to stimulate the children's imagination and abilities.
• The Head Mistress, Mrs Salve, had requested this enhancement, and the volunteers responded enthusiastically and creatively.
• The painting materials and transport for the participants were generously sponsored by the Rotary Club of Chinchwad-Pune, providing the volunteers a unique and fulfilling opportunity to serve the community. The Grampanchayat of Rajewadi facilitated the essential painting work.
2. Donations:
• The project also included the donation of various educational resources for the Anganwadi School:
• Library Books: A set of educational and recreational books was donated to help foster a love for reading among the children.
• Teaching Materials: Textbooks, drawing books, and other essential teaching materials were provided to support the educational activities at the school.
• Toys and Doll's House: To support creative play, a set of toys and a Doll's House were donated, enhancing the children's learning through imaginative play.
• Paints and Crayons: A stock of paints and crayons was provided for future creative activities and learning.
3. Inauguration Ceremony:
• The Anganwadi School was officially inaugurated on the 28th of December, 2024. The event was graced by several esteemed guests, including:

These dignitaries' presence highlighted the project's significance and the collaborative efforts of all involved in its success. 18 parents and 23 villagers attended the programme. 

Number of Beneficiaries:

The primary beneficiaries of this project were 40 children enrolled at the Rajewadi Anganwadi School. The enhancements made to the school environment and the donations of books, toys, and educational materials will significantly contribute to the academic experience of these children.

Conclusion:

The "Happy School Project" at Rajewadi Anganwadi School was a remarkable success, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Interact Club of DICs English Medium School, RCC of Vidya Seva, the Grampanchayat of Rajewadi, and the Rotary Club of Chinchwad-Pune. The project beautified the school with creative murals and learning materials but also equipped the school with much-needed educational resources, ensuring that the children receive a well-rounded, engaging learning experience. The inauguration event was a testament to the positive impact of community service and the power of teamwork in creating a brighter future for the children of Rajewadi.
