In honor of World Earth Day, the Rotary Club of Panvel Industrial Town embarked on a meaningful project to distribute home compost kits to club members on April 22, 2024. This initiative aimed to encourage sustainable waste management practices and reduce landfill waste by converting organic waste into compost.

Six club members who expressed interest in composting at home were provided with home compost kits, along with instructional materials to guide them through the composting process. Additionally, a brief awareness campaign was conducted during the meeting to emphasize the importance of composting in waste reduction and environmental conservation.

This project not only equips club members with the tools and knowledge to compost at home but also promotes environmental sustainability within the club and the wider community. By taking this step, the Rotary Club of Panvel Industrial Town is actively contributing to a greener, healthier planet.
