Serving as the GML Editor for District 3131 was an incredible learning experience. This was my first post at the district level in Rotary and I was completely new to the work. Initially, I was uncertain about my ability to fulfill the role effectively, but I accepted the challenge and began learning.

It took me some time to understand everything, but I think I eventually grasped DG Manjoo’s expectations, level of perfection and standard of work. I cannot thank DG Manjoo enough for this wonderful learning opportunity. Through this role, I connected with many clubs and people in District 3131 and gained a deep understanding of our district’s enormous potential for community service.

I must extend my heartfelt thanks to few people who supported me throughout this process. Rtn. Tejashree Patil, GML co-editor and a very good friend of mine supported me throughout the year with her wonderful interview videos and by checking drafts. Rtn. Arti Bhatia, the GML Editor for RY 2022-23 and a down-to-earth personality, guided me with her experience. Rtn. Dr. Ravikiran provided Rotary World content every month without fail. Rtn. Dr. Sameer Dolare was a strong support and a key contact person for me. Rtn. Abhijit Gandhi helped me initially to understand GML and then designed HALO-M. Rtn. Mohan Chaubal and Rtn. Rushikesh Kulkarni played an important role in the creation of the new digital version of GML. Mr. Amit Laplikar created the amazing digital platform for GML, which made my design work easier. I have troubled Rtn. Unmesh Risbood for some last minute requirements and he has always provided necessary information. Rtn. Vilas Ravande assisted with DG Desk. I also thank all the District Officers, Presidents and concerned Rotarians who provided excellent content for every issue of the GML.

I am grateful to all of you for making GML “HALO-M” a great success, as I received appreciation every month. Thanks to all Rotarians and non-Rotarians who kept me motivated to do better each month.

This fantastic journey taught me to be calm, patient, confident, studious, hard-working, a go-getter, a perfectionist, creative and so much more. I am truly happy to share the  Editorial of our last GML for the Rotary Year 2023-24 under the versatile leadership of DG Manjoo.
