On 7th February, the Rotary Club of Pune Phoenix launched its inaugural "Happy Village" project in Gonawadi and Pimpri near Chakan, marking the beginning of a transformative journey for these communities. The day commenced with a health camp, where approximately 100 women from the villages underwent blood tests for Hb levels, blood group, and blood sugar levels.
Adding a touch of education and entertainment, physiotherapists from our Rotaract Club of Sancheti Healthcare Academy presented a skit on Menstrual Hygiene and Arthritis prevention. Additionally, traditional Haldi-Kumkum ceremony was held and bags were distributed by NGO Shashwat. The Sancheti Healthcare Academy also distributed sanitary pads, contributing to women's health and hygiene in the villages.
As part of the "Happy Anganwadi" initiative, one Anganwadi will undergo development and repair, with experts conducting inspections to ensure its enhancement. Furthermore, a primary healthcare center will be established to cater to the villagers' medical needs, enhancing access to healthcare services.
In an effort to enrich education, a session was conducted at a tribal pada school, introducing engaging learning games to students and teachers, fostering a love for learning and education.
The Rotary Club's "Happy Village" project aims to bring holistic development to these communities, addressing healthcare, education, and overall well-being. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to creating positive change in communities and improving lives.
