Synopsis of Rotary  District Membership Seminar ( IN SWING) : Hosted by Rotary Club of Nigdi Pune.

The Rotary Club of Nigdi Pune proudly hosted the District Membership Seminar which was held on 25th August 2024, with R C Udyognagari  & R C Pradhikaran as co-hosts , bringing together Rotarians from across the district to discuss strategies for enhancing membership growth and engagement. The event was held at Buntara Bhavan, offering a welcoming and professional environment for the attendees. It was well supported by District membership team & District Event team.

The main Objectives of the Seminar were

                To educate Rotarians on effective membership induction and retention strategies. Also to share success stories and best practices from clubs across the district.

The seminar commenced with National Anthem & Ganesh Vandana followed by felicitation of dignitaries by Presidents of Host & co-host clubs.

President Rtn. Suhas Dhamale of host club gave the welcome address , who emphasized on the importance of membership growth for the sustainability of Rotary's mission. Also presented the activities & achievements of R C Nigdi Pune . It was followed by speech of DG Rtn. Shital Shah wherein in his address he explained the importance of Relationship for member’s happiness. The  DG Rtn. Shital Shah also delivered inspiring remarks on the role of membership in driving district initiatives.

The District Director Rtn. Jignesh Pandya arranged various activities on the dias & engaged the audience with entertaining programs like skit & quiz. Rtn. Jignesh Pandya introduced a unique engagement strategy by quizzing the audience by way of lucky draws.We really appreciate the innovation done by District Membership Director Rtn.Jignesh Pandya and his team as well appreciate great efforts taken by District Event Team.

     PDG Nagendra , a well-respected leader in Rotary was the chief guest of the event who delivered a keynote speech on “Me for Rotary & Rotary for me”. It was full of innovative approaches to attract new members, including leveraging social media and community outreach programs. He shared stories across pan India , which were inspiring & motivational to feel proud to be Rotarian.

Panel Discussion was conducted by DMC PDG Rtn.Pankaj Shah , The Panel Disscusion included Rotary leaders from successful clubs who shared their experiences with membership growth and retention. They addressed common challenges such as engaging younger members, diversifying membership, and creating value for members.

DG Rtn. Shital Shah appreciated the clubs who had done remarkable work in membership avenue by giving Awards & certificates. Also DG Rtn.Shital Shah appreciated the AGs by giving them Awards and certificates, for their remarkable work of motivating the respective Clubs which helped in enhancing the membership growth.

 The event concluded with closing remarks by District Membership Chair Rtn. Jignesh Pandya, who summarized key takeaways and encouraged all clubs to apply the strategies shared during the seminar. A special acknowledgment was given to the host club for their exceptional organization and hospitality. The co - host club President Rtn. Prashant Shejwal & Rtn. Ajay Lanke gave the formal vote of thanks. The Outcome of The District Membership Seminar was a resounding success, with attendees leaving motivated to implement fresh ideas in their clubs.
