Rotary Club Chinchwad-Pune Champions Environmental Innovation with State-Level Competitions
Rotary Club Chinchwad-Pune, in collaboration with Jaladindi Pratishthan, Abhivyapti Foundation, Science Park, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, and Gramaprabodhini Salumbre, recently hosted a highly impactful state-level Essay Writing and Creative Thinking Competition.The event, which took place from July 20th to July 22nd, 2024, attracted participation from 63 schools and engaged an impressive 16,731 students from grades 8 to 10.The competitions aimed to promote Environmental Awareness, Enhance Community Involvement ,Empower Future Leaders.
The essay competition featured themes such as:
- “My Contribution to the Reduction of Pollution”
- “Future Threats of Pollution”
- “Environmental Pollution and Our Health”
These topics prompted students to consider their impact and the broader consequences of pollution and also encouraged practical innovative solutions for pressing environmental challenges.
On August 20th, 2024, at the Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Nigdi, was a grand event attended by over 600 students and teachers. Medals were awarded to 190 students in each category, recognising Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners. Additionally, the top three schools received special accolades for the outstanding contributions.
