Service Above Self
The motto of Rotarian is "Service Above Self". It reminds Rotarians to think of how they can help others instead of selfish thought. In its true spirit, Rotary Club Of Pune Sahawas under the Presidentship of Rtn. Nivedita Mulay planned a unique project of Distribution of 135 Advanced Artificial Modular Limbs ( AAML) amounting to Rs. 83 Lacs to needy people who suffer from injury, accident, diseases losing their hands/legs and can't afford to get it. The Project was carried out on Sunday 27th October.
What was remarkable and admirable about the project was the contribution/donation made by 44 Individuals aggregating to Rs 6.00 lacs, both Rotarians/Non-Rotarians in the spirit of ISR ( Individual Social Responsibility). When individuals come together for a noble cause, it becomes CSR of different sorts - Collective Social Responsibility. As Rotarians, we are familiar with CSR funds and we are grateful to Baricap India P. Ltd and One Network Enterpises for their vital support in carrying out this Signature Project.
Sincere thanks to Bharat Vikas Parishad, Vikalang Kendra, Pune and its office bearers, Mr. Vinay Khatavkar & Mr. Dattaji Chitale who rendered invaluable support like medical, technical, logistics etc. in organizing the event of this scale.
Our District 3131, DG Rtn. Shital Shah graced the occasion and profusely lauded the efforts of RCP Sahawas. Our AG, Rtn. Pushkaraj Mulay was also present. Mr. Rajesh Pantsachiv, GM from Bericap India and Rtn. Sameer Kulkarni from One Network were also present.
Last but not least, at the end of the event, we could see a smile on the beneficiary's face and donors had tears in their eyes.
