Rotary Youth Leadership Award
For Deaf and Mute Students of C R Ranganathan College of Arts and Commerce for Deaf and Mute On Friday 18th October and Saturday 19th October 24 - 3 and half hours per day.....
Objective:
To inform and detail "Support of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Deaf and Mute....."
To inculcate positivity in thought process to Deaf and Mute Youth.
To discuss leadership Skills
Implementation:
Day 1 was most informative with regards orientation of A. I.to 95 Deaf and Mute students of senior College Level. The exhaustive session was conducted by Shri Deepak Kadam, an expert in this field. Students could absorb most of the knowledge base. Day 1 also involved a session on "Be Better” By Shri Tejanshu Rane. "Improvisation" was a key word during the discussion, Supported by sign language experts. Some tips on leadership were also given. The day ended with positive feedback by four participants.
Day 2 involved a practical "Demo" on "Self Defense" for one and a half hour. The girl students were specifically trained by two experts, Shri Raghuveer and Shri Tarun. Second session "Plan for a Bright future" was conducted by Rtn Sarang Matade. The session involved a specific motivation for Deaf and Mute Youth. Message of "leave a mark of your own" was communicated in a subtle way. The third session was an open forum titled "Expressions" for fifteen Deaf and Mute participants. The participants surprised us by their understanding of A.I. for Support for their benefit.
The two-day RYLA was an extraordinary success of Rotary Club of Pune Kothrud & Rotary Club of Pune Katraj. 105 beneficiaries were all Deaf and Mute Youth. The presentations handed over to college will benefit another 300 Youth - totaling to 400 Youth.
