The Rotary Club of Daund, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Daund College, recently completed a transformative project focused on women's health and menstrual hygiene. As part of this initiative, high-quality menstrual cups with an expiry date of 2035 were distributed to ASHA Sevikas. To further empower these frontline health workers, a personal hygiene awareness lecture was conducted, equipping them with the knowledge to educate others.
ASHA Sevikas, who visit adolescent girls monthly, can now effectively convey the benefits of using menstrual cups. This initiative not only promotes sustainable menstrual hygiene practices and enhances community well-being but also significantly reduces waste generated by used sanitary pads, thereby benefiting the environment.
Through this project, the Rotary Club of Daund and the Rotaract Club of Daund College have taken a significant step towards improving women's health and promoting eco-friendly solutions in menstrual hygiene management.
