My friends in Rotary,

The Rotary year 24-25 has started with enthusiasm and josh amongst Rotarians of District 3131.

Grand Installation ceremony with 700 plus attendance on 7th July, was indication enough of how clubs are marching relentlessly in fullfilling the task they have taken upon themselves.

There have been heavy rains in Pune region during July. Contributions to Foundation are also raining in. With good support from Presidents, AGs and District Officers,  we could collect the donations to TRF Annual fund to the tune of over USD 150000  in the first month of RY 2024-25 itself. I am sure this momentum will continue throughout the year.

We have received Commitments from 37 Corporates under CSR,  to join hands with Rotary in doing good for the society. We have

initiated 6 Global Grants till today.

July was the perfect time for carrying out our flagship project of "Chhatrachhaya". There was great response from over 100 clubs by participating in 'Playing 11 Chhatra chhaya project' providing shelters to 2400 poor street vendors and the garden umbrellas are now visible in all corners of 3131 with Rotary logo on them. It is great PI initiative too.

Process for formation of RCCs under 'Playing 11' is on the swing, and I am sure that most of the clubs will participate in making this structured program meaningful by bringing communities in Rotary fold.

Membership is on the rise. Clubs are inducting new members, and we expect to start at least 5 new Rotary Clubs in the month of August, it being the designated Membership month. I suggest clubs to give equal attention to nurturing the new members and retention too.

Membership seminar  is scheduled on 25th August, and I 'm expecting clubs to swing in action and bring in more members  and participate in membership growth campaign.
