DG Desk Back

It has been hectic and fulfilling three months. Few of milestones of the journey:

Membership touched 499 net growths, taking our District to number 1 in zone 7.

Collections to Rotary Foundation Annual Fund is marked up to US Dollars 225000 thanks to generous donations by our fellow Rotarians.

Action visible in Youth Avenue with clubs undertaking 5 RYLAs and New applications for Interact and Rotaract Clubs on upswing and it continues to gain momentum.

Basic Education and Literacy Team is in full action with more registrations to Ideal Education Apps in an endeavour towards Happy Schools. The literacy seminar was grand success attended by 160 delegates.

The Child and Maternal Health Team launched Asha Kiran and Sukhada projects.

RYE team participated in the mega RYE conclave at Nagpur. Also first time RYE students participated in Pune Festival and the dance performance was well appreciated by all.

GML crosses mark of 3000 viewership

For the first time in the history, we got a unique opportunity to participate in Pune Festival at Bal Gandharva Rangamandir.  125 Rotarians from around 40 Rotary Clubs showcased their talents. The program was super hit and very well administered by the District Cultural and Festivals Team.

Lot of action was witnessed in the Environment Avenue last month. Sessions on Green Periods, Green Societies, and green factories were organised by clubs. Clubs also sought active participation in the nirmalya collection and disposal drives during the Ganesh festival.

There are lots of updates on *District Thrust Area Playing 11* also. Mega launch of ongoing Asmita Project happened on 29th Sept.  Project Cherry Blossom (Anemia detection and treatment) will be launched soon, where clubs will be invited to participate by paying just Rs 9999/- only for the check up of 300 students. The cost covers 2 checkups in the span of 3 months, and supply of Iron/Follic Acid Tablets. The project of free donation of Happy Family Kits will be launched soon, where the clubs will be invited to participate by paying Rs 9999/- only. PI team was in action during the Ganesh Festival. Most of the clubs organised Ganesh Artis which were actively coordinated  with prominent Ganesh Mandals. A lot of work was done in the peace and conflict avenue too. CSR team is doing commendable work, and actions will be visible in the coming days.
